Finishing Capabilities

Spray Painting

Pantone/RAL/NCS with glossy/matte/satin finishing

Spray painting might be a little tricky for beginners to 3D printing. However, it is one of our most commonly requested finishing capabilities. We are able to help you add a fresh coat of paint to your 3D printed parts to achieve a more professional look.

We can spray paint according to RAL, NCS or Pantone colour charts to achieve a glossy, matte or satin finish. In addition to usual colours, we also have paints that can imitate special surfaces, such as a stone wall finish.

Metallization

Gold/Silver/Coloured

3D printed parts usually have a plastic look and feel to them, but this is not always ideal. Therefore, clients sometimes require metallization to for a more realistic finishing. Metallization is especially useful for automotive prototypes. The post processing technique is even able to produce replacements of actual functional car parts. These 3D printed parts are light weight in comparison to actual metal parts, which is an important consideration for automotive components. The main advantage with this method is its economic gain. Additionally, this method is far more advantageous than e.g. machining, while giving the illusion of a metallic piece.

We are able to produce gold, silver or coloured parts, depending on your requirements.

Polished to Clear with Varnish Coating

To create clear parts, we print with Stereolithography (SLA) using Clear Resin material.

However, post processing is required to obtain total transparency. We are able to help you achieve clear parts via manual sanding and polishing, spray coating or resin coating.
