Quality Assurance In 3D Printing

Importance of Engaging an ISO Certified 3D Printing Service

Quality Assurance From The Start

At Additive3D Asia, we take quality assurance seriously. Being ISO 9001:2015 certified in the provision of 3D printing services in Singapore, we make sure quality assurance is present in every step of our manufacturing process. We aim to provide extraordinary customer satisfaction not only in our customer service, but even more so in our 3D printing services. This happens right off the bat, when 3D files are handed over to our technical team.

Even when the part is still in its 3D file format, our team will start analyzing for potential issues. This could be as simple as reorientating the model direction, to slightly more complex solutions such as increasing wall thickness to ensure that the model doesn’t warp when 3D printed.

ISO 9001:2015 Compliance

ISO 9001:2015 Certified in 3D Printing Services

As an ISO 9001:2015 certified 3D printing service provider, Additive3D Asia’s ISO compliance process is thorough, down to the smallest detail. This means quality assurance in every step of our manufacturing process, from materials we use for 3D printing, to post processing.

1. Certified Materials

The 3D printing materials we use during the 3D printing process are all certified with material datasheets that are available upon request. Furthermore, our materials are stored in an environment with a low relative humidity (RH) of below 40% for quality assurance.

2. External Check

After 3D printing parts, we conduct an external check to certify that the surface and size are up to our customers’ requirements. The parts are measured by vernier calipers, which are calibrated annually. This therefore ensures that parts are measured accurately down to 0.01 mm.

3. Post Processing

Quality assurance also takes place in the last stage of our manufacturing process – post processing. Should sanding be required, we make sure to sand to achieve smooth finishing.  Simultaneously, we verify that the size of the part does not change.

Key Benefits of Engaging An ISO Certified Provider

ISO 9001 is an international standard that specifies requirements for a quality management system (QMS). The ISO 9001 certification demonstrates an organisation’s ability to consistently meet and exceed customer expectations.

1. Reliable Product Scheduling & Delivery

Being ISO certified in 3D printing services means that we have consistent processes that are closely monitored to ensure customer satisfaction. We also follow specific guidelines on how to uphold standards. This ensures an excellent customer journey and improves the flow of business operations on a regular basis. We can hence provide customers with a reliable schedule as to when they should expect to receive their purchased goods/services.

2. Clear Internal Management

The ISO certification implies that there is a practical and workable Quality Management System (QMS) in place in the organisation. With an effective and robust ISO 9001 QMS, we are able to focus on important areas of the business. This means improved efficiency and productivity, resulting in reduced lead time for our customers.

3. Improved Customer Experience

Being ISO certified in 3D printing services also improves overall customer experience. The ISO 9001:2015 compliance process identifies critical areas that are of utmost priority to customers. After outlining these areas, we are able to further improve to meet customers’ expectations and requirements.

Conclusion

Thus, it is no surprise that many enterprise buyers and retailers require their suppliers to be ISO 9001 certified. This drastically minimizes the risk of purchasing a poor product or service.

With an ISO 9001:2015 certification, we have the confidence to provide our customers with the highest quality of customer service and 3D printing in Singapore
